Loyola College, Watsonia, celebrated its 40th Anniversary Opening Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral by his Grace Archbishop Peter A Comensoli in February.

Archbishop Peter was joined by the college’s Chair of the Canonical Administrators, Fr Steven Rigo, Fr Vincent Le from St Damian’s in Bundoora, Fr Anthony Girolami from St Francis of Assisi in Mill Park, Fr Terry Bergin from Our Lady of the Way in Kingsbury and Fr Tom Renshaw SJ, the Chair of Jesuit Education Australia.

In his homily, the Archbishop spoke about being Christ in the world drawing attention to each person’s mission to live out this year’s college theme: head, heart and hands. It was a wonderful occasion for the entire college community as they celebrated this important milestone in the school’s history.
