A new statue of Mary has been installed on the grounds of Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School, Sunbury.

In the spirit of the school’s motto of faith, hope and unity, the statue, designed and created by Melbourne wood-artist Brandon Kroon, depicts Mary with her hands held open to welcome all into the community.

‘Mary is a central figure in our faith, and without her there wouldn’t be a holy trinity’, said the school’s foundation principal Krystine Hocking. ‘For our students, teachers and families, the statue becomes an important symbol of an unwavering commitment to God.’

Opened in 2019, Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School is one of the four schools in the Sunbury Catholic Learning Community. The school is currently planning the next stage of its building works with additional classrooms and a community pavilion.
