St Mary’s School, Hampton, is transitioning to a new school uniform, but the students didn’t want the old uniforms to go to waste.

As part of the school’s efforts to become more sustainable, the old unwanted uniforms will be used to help children in Papua New Guinea instead of ending up in landfill.

The uniforms will be donated to the Lasallian Mission Council for children.

Old uniforms that have paint stains or are ripped will be sent to Melbourne charity Kids Off The Curb, shredded and made into punching bags to be distributed to groups assisting disadvantaged young people.
