Matthew Robb (Learning & Teaching leader) & Julie Corsaletti (Principal) presented with the Apple Distinguished School plaque.St Lawrence School, Derrimut, has been recognised as an Apple Distinguished School for 2018–2020 for its use of Apple technology to enhance its learner-centred approach to pedagogy.

 

Apple Distinguished Schools are centres of innovation, leadership, and educational excellence that use Apple products to inspire creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. They showcase innovative uses of technology in learning, teaching, and the school environment and have documented results of academic accomplishment.

 

Principal, Julie Corsaletti, says, ‘We are very proud of being recognised as an Apple Distinguished School. The selection of St Lawrence Primary School as an Apple Distinguished School highlights our success as an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic accomplishment.’

 

The teachers at St Lawrence School are accredited Apple Teachers and use Apple technology in all areas of the curriculum. The school aims to modify and redefine the learning for students so that the technology is intertwined in the learning experience. This approach has changed the way the teachers plan, teach and learn.
