History:

St Mary’s School, Greensborough, was officially opened in 1955. It is a Catholic parish primary school situated on the same grounds as the parish church in Greensborough, in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Our Vision Statement recognises that we are a dynamic learning community called to engage justly in the world. We maintain a warm, welcoming community spirit with a high level of parent involvement and connection with our parish community.

In 2010, through the Building the Education Revolution project, the building of a contemporary learning centre named the MacKillop Learning Centre (MLC) was completed. This facility provides 12 learning areas which are flexible in design and allow for collaborative learning and teaching. The second stage of our building project was completed in 2013, providing an administration building, staff facilities and a library/technology resource centre. A refurbishment provided modern learning spaces for Prep to Year 2 students and was named the Frayne Learning Centre (FLC). These flexible learning spaces support our philosophy of child-centred learning where there is choice, personalisation and opportunities for collaboration.

At the commencement of 2014, the parish administration commenced operation in shared facilities with the school as we believe that we work in partnership to support the needs of our community.
