History:

Thomas Carr College, a co-educational Catholic secondary school, was established in the western suburbs of Melbourne in 1997. We currently have enrolments of 1065 students, with the College celebrating a milestone 25th anniversary in 2021.


Description:

Thomas Carr College aims to create a supportive, inclusive and faith-driven College community that comprises of students, staff, parents and the wider community working together to achieve excellent student outcomes at a personal level. The College aims to foster continuity of faith development with the local parishes of Tarneit, Truganina, and Hoppers Crossing. At Thomas Carr College, we want our classrooms to be positive, enthusiastic, productive and innovative learning environments. We aim for our students to become life-long and self-disciplined learners who are empowered and active in a globalised world. We are a proud multicultural school celebrating diversity.

The College is situated on over 10 hectares of spacious grounds incorporating modern, state of the art facilities consisting of a Year 7 and 8 Learning Centre, Performing Arts Centre, art & design precinct, technology (IT, materials, foods, fibre & media), laboratories, an Information Centre, drama and music centre, along with a fully equipped gymnasium. In 2020, the College has partnered with ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects to create a new Master Plan that will future enhance the state-of-the-art facilities already at the College.
