History:

St Augustine’s School, Keilor, opened in 1979 and was built by the Parish of Airport West to service the needs of the Keilor area.


Description:

St Augustine’s is a suburban school in a rural setting. It overlooks the gum trees along Taylor’s Creek, which abuts the school oval. The building takes advantage of the views and comprises six internal classrooms, a library, multi-purpose facilities and a small canteen. Three classes are housed in portables. The school provides extensive and picturesque play areas including basketball, netball and volleyball courts.

With an enrolment of about 270 students, children enjoy the family atmosphere that is promoted throughout the community and take advantage of the many social activities generated through the school.
