History:
The school was established in 1958 to serve the needs of a growing population in the Macleod/Rosanna area. The school aims to give a Catholic education to all Catholic children in the parish. No child is disadvantaged by a family's inability to pay fees.
The school motto 'Non Recuso Laborem' reflects our philosophy of not being afraid of hard work to achieve our aims. In summary, we believe that God is part of all we do at school so the Gospel values of cooperation, concern for others, justice and love are reflected in all our activities.
Each child is given opportunities to develop to his/her potential – intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically.
Description:
St Martin of Tours School is a medium to large Catholic primary school. Within these walls there is a special sense of belonging, trust and mutual respect. Individuals are encouraged to aspire to excellence.
Our Parish boundaries take in the suburbs of Macleod, Rosanna, Viewbank, Heidelberg and Yallambie. We currently have an enrolment of 512 students.
