History:

Holy Family School began in 1957 under the guidance of the Presentation Sisters, when the area of Mount Waverley was just beginning to develop. The school is now staffed by many talented and conscientious teachers, with 363 students currently enrolled.

Description:

Holy Family School is set in a supportive community in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The premises consist of a single-storey building with 15 air-conditioned classrooms. Twelve classrooms and the school hall have recently been renovated. Our playgrounds offer many opportunities for different types of play and exercise. In 2009 a synthetic grass oval was laid, offering superb play spaces, an athletics track, soccer pitch, football ground and cricket pitch. The school grounds were fully landscaped at the beginning of 2011. Our parish church shares the site and we are within easy access of public transport, bus services and the Mount Waverley train station.

Features:

Holy Family offers many special features through our outstanding curriculum programs, our specialist teacher programs and our extensive computer facilities. We are a school that values our parent participation and encourages our children to participate in many enhancement programs, with an emphasis on physical activity. We aim to embrace a Christian ethos in a welcoming environment where differences are acknowledged and where individuals are accepted and valued.
