History:

St Aloysius' School, Queenscliff, situated on the Bellarine Peninsula is approximately 30 km from Geelong. The school is part of the Parish of Holy Trinity, which encompasses the towns of Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale.

St Aloysius School was opened in 1902 by the Sisters of Mercy in a small two-room wooden building. This small building still exists today as part of the parish hall, which is used during the holiday season to accommodate large crowds for Mass.

In 1975 a new school was built. This modern brick structure consisted of three classrooms, a kitchen, a staff room, an administration block and a small library. Extensive renovations took place in 2010 and St Aloysius' is a contemporary, comfortable learning environment catering for all.

Description:

The school population is approximately 90 students, who come from Queenscliff, Point Lonsdale and the surrounding areas. The school grounds are safe and secure, offering 16 unique learning areas. The play spaces are varied including junior and senior adventure playgrounds, netball / basketball court, oval and passive play areas.

Children can access a morning and afternoon bus service and before / after school care programs in the local community.
