History:

Catholic Ladies' College (CLC) Ltd has a century-long tradition of providing a quality education for young women. Founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1902 in East Melbourne, the school moved in 1971 to its present eight-hectare site in Eltham. In 1999 the former convent building, Currajeen, was converted to provide a unique learning environment for our Year 12 students. The college is now an incorporated body managed by a Board of Directors. However, the spirit of the Sisters of Charity continues to guide the school in providing an education which contributes to each student's spiritual, physical, social and intellectual development. CLC's fine academic achievement is a testament to its focus on personal and intellectual growth.

Description:

In its beautiful natural setting, the College provides an environment where students can discover and develop their talents in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect, where the values of the gospel are lived and taught. Our students are encouraged to develop a strong sense of positive self-esteem and confidence in themselves as young women.
