12 October 2017Artwork by PCW students

Presentation College Windsor took over the school hall with hundreds of pieces of art to celebrate a year of creativity. Featuring artwork from every art student in the school, the exhibition was a colourful whirlwind of paintings, drawings, ceramics, installations, textiles, photography and much more.

College principal Filina Virgato was impressed by the artwork on the display.

'This collection shows what happens when students are safe enough to take risks to express themselves’, she said. Faculty Head (Visual Arts) Joy Mackey attributed student visits to contemporary galleries for inspiring students to explore new media and create thought-provoking installations.

Artwork by year 12 students from the College will also appear in a pop-up exhibition at the Helen Macpherson space at the Monash University Museum of Art, Wednesday 18 October 5.30–7.00pm.
