St Joseph’s School, Sorrento, has celebrated the opening and blessing of its new library.

Following months of hard work by the school, community, and the parents and friends group, the library was opened by local MP Chris Brayne and blessed by Parish Priest Fr Ian Mackintosh OMI. For some members of the school community, involvement was more practical as parents not only took part in fundraising but in the demolition and refitting of the space.

The opening of the library was followed by a celebration in the parish hall where guests were entertained by the school choir and some of the school’s piano students.
