College Captain Panos Menidis with his mother. The Annual Mother’s Day Breakfast is a De La Salle College, Malvern, tradition. Each year, hours of preparation go into making this special event open to all mums, grandmothers, female carers and guardians of our students. The event is very popular and sells out every year.

Our attendees are treated to a delicious breakfast, a guest speaker, an address from the College Captain, a take-home treat, and the best thing of all – time with their sons.

College Captain, Panos Menidis, addressed his speech to his mother, Meri Menidis . ‘Even through all our crazy fashion decisions, our awful hairstyle choices and through every single melodious voice break, our mothers are always there, teaching us valuable life lessons on what to do, how to dress, and most importantly how to care. It is too easy to take our mother’s actions for granted’. Panos’ full address is available on the De La Salle College website.

The mothers who attended have commented how much they enjoyed themselves. The range of experiences, from first-time mums to the last time with their third or fourth son, is a testimonial to the very special relationship between mothers and sons.
