A Geelong local and dedicated Cats fan will head up a new Torquay primary school when it opens next year.
 

Lisieux Catholic Primary School will open for Term 1 of 2018, with Susan Ryan announced as its first principal.

Mrs Ryan will start in Term 3 this year, and parish priest Father Linh Tran said they were excited to have her on board.

'We’re delighted to announce that Susan Ryan has been appointed as the foundation principal of Torquay’s newest Catholic parish primary school,' Fr Tran said.

 

She has shown us throughout the selection process that she is a woman of experience, with a unique creative spirit and passion for fostering a community within the school.

Mrs Ryan said she was 'excited and energised to have the opportunity to begin a new school and to establish a shared vision from scratch'.
