Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School, Sunbury, and Glowrey Catholic School, Wollert, are about to open in the growth areas north of Melbourne.

After years of planning and months of construction, the first students and teachers are entering the new schools. Holy Trinity is the third Catholic primary school in Sunbury and foundation principal Krystine Hocking is excited about what’s ahead.

‘I am passionate about empowering and equipping students with the skills and dispositions to be lifelong learners, and successful and active faith members of our global society’, she said.

Named in honour of Dr Sr Mary Glowrey JMJ, Glowrey Catholic School is the first Catholic school to open in the growing suburb of Wollert. Foundation principal Tim Kelly will bring his extensive experience in getting the school ready for families from the area.

‘Glowrey will be a school where students come first. It will be a place of high-quality education where each child’s learning and social and emotional needs will be catered for. It will be driven by a strong Catholic ethos where gospel values will be lived and visible in all that we do’, he said.
