As well as new students in our primary and secondary schools, it’s also been a fresh start for new principals across Melbourne’s Catholic schools.

A twilight session yesterday at the Catholic Leadership Centre launched the induction program for new principals. The program promotes collegiality between school leaders and provides support for them in their new role.

With presentations from Catholic Education Melbourne staff, Anna Masters from Sacre Coeur, Glen Iris, and Patrika Rowley from St Anthony’s School, Noble Park, the new principals took away positive messages about fostering leadership with teachers and students, working in partnership with families and maintaining a healthy work/life balance.

The evening ended with a film featuring students from Catholic Regional College, Caroline Springs, and St Mary MacKillop Primary School, Keilor Downs, providing their perspective on principals.
