Mrs Georgia Heffernan.Catholic Ladies’ College, Eltham, Deputy Principal Georgia Heffernan was one of the four high-performing school leaders from Victorian schools to have been awarded the Menzies School Leader Fellowship.

‘As Catholic Ladies’ College continues to build excellence in learning, I am honoured to have been awarded a Menzies School Leader Fellowship. Through a focus on assessment and feedback, our goal is to strengthen each student’s belief in their ability to learn’, said Mrs Heffernan proudly.

The Fellowship recognises outstanding school leaders and aims to support the development of their leadership capabilities within their schools.

‘The Fellows have been selected based on their leadership potential and the collective efficacy pilots they propose to undertake in their school during the Fellowship’, said Menzies Foundation CEO, Liz Gillies.

Over the next three years, Fellows will have the opportunity to work with internationally renowned Laureate Professor John Hattie to further develop their leadership.

‘The next three years will be transformational for our learning community as we become members of the University of Melbourne Network of Schools and I look forward to sharing our experiences along the way’, Mrs Heffernan stated.
