Melbourne’s newest Junior Lord Mayor officially takes on her role today to coincide with Melbourne Day.
Grade 6 student Chloe Amalfi from Genazzano FCJ College, Kew, impressed the judges, included Lord Mayor Sally Capp and Nine News presenter Peter Hitchener, to claim the title. Chloe follows in the footsteps of a long line of students from Melbourne’s Catholic schools to take on the role of Junior Lord Mayor.
Chloe has quite a few ideas on how to make Melbourne an even better city, including turning unused buildings into homes for the homeless.
