It was all fun and games for the student and parent community at St Patrick’s School, Mentone, for their 2019 fete.

Market stalls, food, live entertainment and a silent auction were among the highlights of the school’s major fundraising event. Dunking teachers in the dunking machine was a popular activity for students, but it was the carnival rides that brought the biggest crowds.

‘The rides were lots of fun and it was great to see the whole school come together as one to make an event like this happen’, said student Shelby. ‘The food was delicious and nothing was overpriced. They had great games where you could win lollies and chocolate.’

The fete raised $32,000 for shade cloths to be installed around the school.
