Construction has commenced on Caroline Chisholm Catholic College’s new performing arts centre at its Christ the King campus in Braybrook. The new Architect's illustration of new performing arts centre being built at Caroline Chisholm Catholic Collegecentre will be built where the Madeleine Centre once stood, the last remaining structure from the original vision for the school in the 1950s, and a building once used as a convent for the Society of the Sacred Heart nuns. The new arts centre will add more than 1,400m2 of state-of-art space over two-stories for the school’s creative programs.

College Principal, Marco DiCesare, said ‘the new building will be a creative “hub” offering opportunities for collaboration and inspiration from a variety of creative mediums. The facility will host drama and dance, music, studio and visual arts and will be flexible enough to also cater for large gatherings and performances’.

When completed in early 2018, the new performing arts centre will become a cultural destination for the community and an inspiration to young people seeking a future in the performing arts. Architect's illustration of new performing arts centre being built at Caroline Chisholm Catholic College
