To celebrate the fifth anniversary of Laudato Si’ and to launch the Season of Creation celebrated every year from 1 September to 4 October, students at Our Lady of the Nativity School, Aberfeldie, spent a day replacing their screen time with ‘green time’.

‘Our Lady of the Nativity is a proud Franciscan school, so marking this important season in a way where children could truly connect with nature was a huge success’, said Amy Gallina, Faith and Life Leader. ‘From all accounts, a wonderful day connecting with God’s creation was had by all. Students went on nature walks, created collages with elements of God’s creation, made nature faces, experienced creation meditations and decorated their driveways with chalk drawings based on the Season of Creation.’
