Kids CaFE is part of the virtual, social and emotional learning sessions the school is running to build up resilience and continue to establish relationships during remote learning.

‘We describe the CaFE as a virtual playground and the teacher is the duty teacher keeping an eye on the students, and moderating the conversations and use of technology’, principal Peter Hayes said. ‘All primary school students are under the recommended age for social media accounts, so this is a great way for them to connect in a supervised environment.’

‘We ran our first session last week. The students were so happy to see each other. There was a lot of laughter and smiles all around. We will be running Kids CaFE every Wednesday as a whole school at 2.30 pm, with more sessions to be added. We will also offer a weekly session for parents’, Mr Hayes said.
