STEM MAD (Making a Difference) returns in October with this year’s Showcase going digital.

In 2020, small teams of primary or secondary students are invited to design a product, service or innovation that makes a difference to others or the environment. The Showcase aims to address real-world problems and demonstrate how students in Catholic schools take action that matters.

To enter, teams must prepare a 90-second video detailing their project and submit it by 5 pm on Friday 4 September. A panel will assess the entries and finalists will then be asked to create a 3.5-minute video submission. Details on the application process are available on the STEM MAD website.

The STEM MAD Showcase in October is an opportunity for all schools to share in the learning and participate in a day focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Activities and presentations, including award ceremonies, will be streamed to schools.
