At St Paul’s School, Coburg, Tuesday’s Safer Internet Day was the perfect opportunity to introduce internet safety to the school’s newest students.

The Prep students may have just started school, but they are already moving in the right direction when it comes to internet safety. As part of the commitment to student safety at St Paul’s, the school started discussions on how to be safe on the internet with all year levels for Safer Internet Day. This included chats and drawing activities for the younger students, with class discussions and cybersafe videos about disclosure of personal information, strategies and who to turn to if feeling unsafe for the senior students. Parents were also referred to the eSafety website.

Safer Internet Day is an initiative of Australia’s eSafety Commissioner.
