Preps.12 August 2020

Prep students at Corpus Christi School, Kingsville, celebrated 100 days of learning earlier this week and the school community couldn’t be prouder.

The Prep teachers put together a fun-filled pack with goodies and activities, which they mailed out to Prep families for the children to enjoy on their special day. They provided instructions in their Google Classroom to help parents in making the day a surprise for the children. Families were encouraged to make anything that represented 100, whether it be fairy bread with 100’s and 1000’s or making their 100-day crowns. The Preps were not letting their 100th day of school pass by without celebrating.

‘Remote learning may have initially been very foreign to our community, however staff have dedicated themselves to ensuring our online presence continues to be engaging and stimulating for all our students’, said the school’s principal Anthony Hyde. ‘From conducting our weekly whole-school assemblies online, and offering virtual specialist and extracurricular classes from day one, there has been a huge focus on connectivity and keeping school as “normal” as possible in this virtual world.’

It wouldn’t be 100 days of Prep at Corpus Christi School if staff didn’t get the students to dress up as little 100-year-old men and women. Suffice it to say that they will definitely look just as adorable now as they will 95 years down the road.

Congratulations again to all Preps across Victoria celebrating this memorable milestone.
