A number of letters from students in Years 1 and 2 were sent to the medical staff at St Vincent’s HospitalDespite our students currently learning in different ways, the spirit of gratitude still runs deep in our schools.

For the students at St Paul’s School, Coburg, a whole-school activity set by principal Maria Mercuri generated an avalanche of gratitude not only for vulnerable people, but for those on the frontline supporting our most vulnerable people.

‘While we might be in our homes away from each other and during online learning, we want everyone to know we are all in this together’, wrote Maria to the students. ‘This activity is to show kindness or gratitude to others. You can write a kindness or thank you letter to those who are helping others during this time or might be alone during this time.’

The students produced letters, artwork and poetry to express their gratitude. A number of letters from students in Years 1 and 2 were sent to the medical staff at St Vincent’s Hospital. They took time recently to thank the students for their messages of gratitude.
