Role Description/Criteria
Responsibilities include:
- to support students and assist them in achieving success
- to facilitate small groups of students to access curriculum social skills programs
- to assist with specific needs of students
- to work in collaboration with classroom teachers
- to work closely with Student Services Leader and any consultants or therapists
- to provide social-emotional support for students
- parent/carer liaison - to attend program group meetings (PSGs) and informal discussions with parents/carers
- to assist with record keeping and documentation associated with NCCD students
- to assist, where appropriate, with transition planning for students moving into secondary School
- to attend professional learning meetings when required
- to attend excursions and camps by negotiation when and if the need arises.
This position is in the 3 to 6 area, on the following days: Monday, Thursday and Friday all day, Wednesday to 1.30pm.

Special Requirements

- Level 3 certificate in Education support or equivalent
- a current Working With Children card
