Role Description/Criteria

As our Facilities Officer (Electrical or Painting), you will be working in a pristine environment with heritage buildings and vast landscapes. Experience in either Electrical or Painting is necessary for this role and you will work within our diverse Property and Facilities team.
With your experience as an Electrician or similar you will:
- attend to all electrical maintenance requests, repairs or faults in a timely manner
- conduct preventative maintenance on electrical equipment throughout the college
- provide advice on electrical safety and contribute where required to project work.
If you are an experienced Painter you will:
- have experience in internal and external painting
- be meticulous in maintaining paint work in our heritage buildings
- attend to all maintenance requests, provide advice and facilitate painting of major projects.
In addition to your area of expertise your duties will include:
- completing general maintenance around the College including, minor carpentry, waste management and general tidying
- manual handling such as setting up rooms for a multitude of functions, ie. moving furniture and setting up equipment
- operating various plant and equipment to complete your daily duties
- contributing to other property and facilities team priorities where required.
About you:
- previous experience in either area of specialty are a must
- able to undertake manual handling on a daily basis
- a current Drivers Licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
