History:

We acknowledge that St Kevin’s is built on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people who have walked and cared for this land for thousands of years. We also acknowledge their descendants who maintain the spiritual connection and traditions.

St Kevin’s Church on Herlihys Road was officially opened in 1968. The school followed in 1970 with 94 enrolments. The initial school site was where the current admin building is now housed. As enrolments were increasing it was decided to add to the school by filling in the undercroft underneath the church. This area is now the Junior Building. In 1973 a third building was planned and the Senior Building was blessed and opened in 1975. St Kevin’s School has operated out of these buildings since this time.

In 2017, a $1.8 million refurbishment to all existing learning spaces was undertaken. This was a very exciting time for St Kevin’s as we modernised our learning environment to enhance our contemporary learning practices.
