History:

The world-wide Loreto tradition of education was established 400 years ago by Mary Ward (1585-1645), who worked to advance the education of girls and who founded the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, often called Loreto Sisters. Loreto Mandeville Hall was established in Toorak in 1924.

Description:

Committed to the education of girls, our mission at Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak is to nurture the growth of capable, compassionate, independent, and committed Christian women who are characterised by freedom of spirit, felicity, a personal integrity, a love of learning, the search for truth, and a concern for justice.

Features:

Enrolment is academically non-selective and students achieve outstanding VCE results and tertiary entrance placements. Special education support is provided for students with special gifts or particular difficulties. French, Indonesian and Japanese are a part of the comprehensive curriculum. Information Technology extends from Prep to Year 12. As a complement to Religious Education, students participate in a Community Service program.

Our students are our greatest testimony. Come and meet them. We welcome you to come and experience for yourself the extraordinary sense of direction, purpose, and joyful endeavour which abides so manifestly at Loreto.
