This year’s school production of the musical Anastasia by Emmaus College, Vermont South, has been recognised with five awards at the 2022 Lyrebird Awards.
At an event in the Karralyka Theatre, the production was presented with five awards including Best Production in the Youth Musical category. The Lyrebird Awards recognise the achievements of schools and theatre companies in producing theatre in Melbourne’s eastern and south-eastern suburbs.
Chloe Vigilante from the college, winner of the award for Best Performer in a Lead Female Role in the Youth Musical category, performed at the awards event. Other awards presented for the production in the Youth Musical category include Best Director (Olivia Cavallo), Best Musical Director (Ryland Sack) and Best Costume (Olivia Cavallo).
